In modern conditions, the driver of international Affairs, in addition to the skills of driving heavy vehicles, is also required to understand the basics of the organization of international road transport of goods, insurance of road risks, the licensing system. In addition, it is necessary to know the theory: axle loads, the total mass of vehicles, the passage of weight and dimensional control, the order of placement and fastening of cargo in the body (trailer), the basics of working with the Internet, Fax, SMS.

Goals and course objectives

Acquisition of necessary knowledge and competencies in the following areas:

  1. Topical issues of systems and technologies of organization and execution of cargo movements.
  2. legal and Regulatory framework for technical and documentary support of the organization and performance of cargo movements.
  3. Classification of goods, their properties, as well as features of the transportation process.
  4. Technical issues: axle loads, total vehicle weight, passing weight and dimensional control, the order of placement and fastening of cargo in the body (trailer).
  5. Internet, Fax, SMS basics.

As a result of the study of the subject the student must:

  • to present the importance of road transport as an integral part of the unified transport system of the country;
  • understand the basics of the organization of international road transport of goods, insurance of road transport risks, licensing system;

  • describe the features of the use of vehicles for international transport of goods, methods and methods of loading;
  • know the mode of work and rest of the driver in the implementation of international road transport of goods and the principles of use of tachographs;
  • know the safe placement and securing of goods when transporting by road;
  • know and be able to handle transport permits;
  • know the procedure of passport and visa registration at the border and safe placement and securing of goods during their transportation;
  • read and apply technical documentation and documents in the organization of international road transport of goods.

  • Rules of registration of goods transport documents for the carriage of goods.  Customs control of goods;
  • Customs Convention on the international transport of goods under cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention);European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road, (ADR);
  • Convention on the contract for the international carriage of goods (CMR – CMR);
  • Transportation of perishable products and animals;
  • Insurance for road transport;
  • Organization of work and rest of drivers (AETR Agreement). Tachographs;
  • Organization of international transport of goods: international classification of goods, Organization of transport in containers, flights and removable bodies;
  • Basics of using PC, IT technologies;
  • Features of use of cars for the international transportation of goods, methods and ways of loading. Transportation of bulky and heavy cargo by road.
